DENOMINATIONAL MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the African Methodist Episcopal Church – A Church For All People – is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical and emotional needs of all people by spreading Christ’s liberating gospel through word and deed.
At every level of our Connection and in every local church, we seek out and save the lost and serve the needy through a continuing program of:

- Preaching the gospel
- Feeding the hungry
- Clothing the naked
- Housing the homeless
- Cheering the fallen
- Providing jobs for the jobless
- Administering to the need of those in prisons, hospitals, nursing homes, asylums and mental institutions, senior citizen’s homes, caring for the sick, the shut-in, the socially and mentally disturbed, a
- Encouraging thrift and economic advancement.

These are the very things Jesus did and prescribes for us to do in His Word. In addition, when we do this, we continue to honor the mission of the Free African Society out of which our church evolved.
We stand on the scripture which encourage us to be “a church on a mission to do God’s Work, and to fulfill his mission by following His direction.”
